Okay everyone as you know a snow storm is due to make an appearance in our neck of the woods therefore please do call ahead of time before you venture on coming over, we might not be able to get out of our driveway and come to work.

Ana came by just on Monday to pick up any more liners, well we did collect 14 more, therefore making our new total to 159 liners. Ana is very greatful and urges any and all to keep on knitting these liners they are so needed by our young men and women. So ladies and gents lets keep it up.

Now look how amazing this bathmat is, knitted and crocheted with what we call bouble yarn. I love it and so did everyone else who saw it. We are all going to make one for ourselves!!!!

A big Thank you goes out to all of you who helped out with the helmet liners.. We collected 145 liners and they are off. Anna picked up on Wednesday for delivery Just in time for Christmas. I have to apologize though, there was no time for pix. Anna had to leave quickly. But hey we managed to get an okay from Anna to keep on knitting liners, cause she will keep on delivering to the troops. Therefore knitters keep those fingers busy and knit up some more.

and have you heard of this wool called Dyelot yarn? Its hand made in Santa Fe, New Mexico it has a total of 690 yds it is a mixture of 6 different hanks of yarn twisted into one with some magnificent colors. We have Pearl, Winterbarry, Ristra & Tres Santa Fe.

We have discovered the source of our problem, we are working on it. The email is working which is a good thing.

But just to bring you up to date about the liners. We are so excited! we already have 60+ liners. There so many generous knitters out there we are so grateful. Bring in your left over yarn ball and we will knit up stripped hats.

Also the holiday shopping season is on full swing. Don't forget we have gift certificates, pretty needles from serendipity or beautiful baskets from Lantern Moon, and the newest addition crystal or swarowsky glass stitch markers handcrafted by local artist, or maybe you had a wish to knit with a delicious yarn.

mittered squares

okay this Saturday at 3:00 and a repeat on the following Thursday 1:30 we are going to have a long awaited aspecial class. We will be designing our very own jacket/cardi. Again you choose the yarn and some of you already have done so and you will design this jacket/cardi using mittered squares. In this first class you will learn all about mitters how you can customize the sizes that you need and where to place them. Please bring in graph paper and pencil and ofcourse the needles and yarn for your jacket/cardi.

There will be two more follow up classes one in December and one in January to help you along the way. Each meeting will be a new step to discuss.

Therefore if you haven't signed up call in to Nickie and see if there is any space left. We are keeping it to 6 students per class.
