S P R I N G !!!!!

How wonderful to feel the sun in your face. Finally it seems that spring wants to join us here in Norther New Jersey. In our shop little tulips have sprung up next to our new season yarns.
Tahkis, Filatura, Berroco, Noro, Schulana, Prism, plus others I just recall have come in. Already the new Prism ribbons have run out and we are awaiting a reorder. Everyone chose ribbons to knit the KAL thinking spring and well they should. Our KAL turn out was great despite the big snow flakes that were coming down. We are very appreciative to all of you who managed to drive in, it really was a scary drive home, so therefore thank you, thank you. Our KAL vest/jacket is coming along very nicely. Last night I saw quite a few of you well on your way.
Pictures, I love to take the pix and I have quite a few in my camara but I haven't had time to down load. I apologyze to those of you who are waiting for them, I promise it shall be done soon.

When I see and smell this wonderful spring sunshine my knitting and crocheting hands look for the feel of cottons well I am now crocheting a wonderfully easy cardi with FIlatura's new ribbon cotton Virgolino its sooo pretty the cardi has a very lacy effect and its all in one piece to the underarm.

Well I have to get to work now! Thankfully we have been busy with classes both in crochet and knit.

Hey there our second KAL was to commence this evening (2/16) well thanks to the S N O W we are going to reschedule for next Tuesday evening at 5:30pm.

on another note a big THANK YOU to the ladies from Curves they have delivered more then 50 liners for our troop. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

The S N O W!!!!

Okay everyone as you know a snow storm is due to make an appearance in our neck of the woods therefore please do call ahead of time before you venture on coming over, we might not be able to get out of our driveway and come to work.

Ana came by just on Monday to pick up any more liners, well we did collect 14 more, therefore making our new total to 159 liners. Ana is very greatful and urges any and all to keep on knitting these liners they are so needed by our young men and women. So ladies and gents lets keep it up.

Now look how amazing this bathmat is, knitted and crocheted with what we call bouble yarn. I love it and so did everyone else who saw it. We are all going to make one for ourselves!!!!

A big Thank you goes out to all of you who helped out with the helmet liners.. We collected 145 liners and they are off. Anna picked up on Wednesday for delivery Just in time for Christmas. I have to apologize though, there was no time for pix. Anna had to leave quickly. But hey we managed to get an okay from Anna to keep on knitting liners, cause she will keep on delivering to the troops. Therefore knitters keep those fingers busy and knit up some more.
