Just a Quick Update

Hi Everyone,

It seems that things are really moving along faster then I anticipated, my husband is very efficient.
Soooo the Bloomfield location is emptying out rather quickly. Not only by us relocating but by the great bargains that has been had by all.

This will be our last week, therefore come in and grab the last of the available beautiful wools/cottons, there is still enough to make something special (begin now for the holidays).
A quick reminder don't forget Thurs., Fri., & Sat. Denville's sidewalk sale is happening. (Hopefully no rain)
One of us will be out there on 45 Broadway with a table and baskets of yarn. There will be nothing higher then $4.00 a skein. ( please no credit cards, cash is definitely much easier to handle)
Should it rain (which they are predicting)
The Bloomfield Ave. shop will be open.
Prices on all our samples have been slashed to even lower than wholesale cost of the yarn.

We open our doors at 11:00 am and close at 5:30 everyday except Saturday which is 4:00 so come shop early and shop fast!!

P.S. there will be no knitting help available these days.
Happy shopping!!

just an update

The contractor (My husband) is working pretty quick. A fresh coat of paint went on today and tomorrow a new floor will be installed.

Also mark your calenders, the end of July the 30th, & 31st as well as August 1 (Thurs., Fri., & Sat.) Denville is having it's huge sidewalk sale. We are so looking forward to that.

The new shop most probably will not be open by that time, but we will be in front of it with tables and baskets full of yarn. Prices will be slashed to as low as 75% off. Mind you what ever there is there is! and please no credit cards cash is definitely much easier to handle.

The Bloomfield Ave. shop will be open at the same time.

Don't know if I mentioned but we also have samples on sale which have been heavily discounted. Labels tell the story!!

Happy shopping!!

THE MOVE

The Move! Wow it's really happening soon.
The sale is in high gear. A whole lot of yarn is flying off the shelves. It's unbelievable. We definitely think we will have little to carry over. :)
There will be an ad on the local paper letting everyone else know of our move so we expect a lot more shoppers. Therefore for those of you who are waiting for the last minute, sorry you will be left out of the bargains.
Don't Wait !

OUR FIRST KAL

Here we are Knitting A Long together the jacket that Nancy is wearing. Nancy has knitted 4 jackets since April. Here we have a blend of novice and seasoned knitters enjoying the fun.

Here's Helen with another of her masterpiece. This is a combo of Cotton Twist and Nova they both have a little sparkle and make a great top. I don't know when Helen has the time to knit such wonderful stuff!!!:)

And my sister here is modeling what Barbara knitted for her daughter-in-Law. Barbara used Plymouth's Baby Alpaca Grande. It is such a beautiful confi Poncho with sleeves. Barbara I'm sure that your new expectant mommy will love it this winter.

THE B I G MOVE!

As most of you must know by now, we are moving. We are going to Broadway!
Broadway here we come!!!
It is very exciting and at the same time a little tense. There is a lot to accomplish in a very short period of time. Thank goodness we have a lot of very, very sweet and kind volunteers. My sister and I are really grateful to all of you!!

Now as the e-mail said we need to lighten our load therefore there is a SALE of course.
Everything in the shop is 10% off but that's not all. We have a whole lot of tags throughout the shop for discounts from 30 - 60% off! The sale is only on existing stock.

I am sure you all know the drill by now if yarn is purchased on sale it's not returnable, and always buy enough for whatever you are planning on because it might not be there tomorrow. We are already seeing an influx of people coming in therefore plan ahead.

I will be posting up dates as the time approaches.

This was a very proud mama moment when my daughter's garments were displayed and modeled in a NY runway.
These garments are now displayed at the shop for all to see.

Knit-Along!

It's determined the KAL will begin July 15, therefore if you are interested, these next two weeks is the time for you to come in and sign up. We will have loads of fun as ususal. Most of you have decided to use the Fantasy Linen in the same color way which will make it a true knit along!

Here's The Latest

Things have been hectic here at Nonnas. New yarns new projects, finishing old projects. Yep I've been kinda preoccupied.
Let me just bring you up to date with the goings on!

You remember Karen. Karen just finished this shawl knitted with TSC Ritratto the pattern is from the book Modular Knits by Iris Schreier. I love this pattern it sit on your shoulders perfectly and its fun to knit. I have knitted 4 for gifts and now Karen is hooked as well.

I just completed this little jacket. It's waiting for buttons which will be in very soon. I enjoyed learning the different technics with this one the collar is added with a 3needle bind off and it has side pockets and bell cuffs. It's short and it's quite cute on a size 6 - 8.
Perfect wear for September/October

I thought this little sack was the most adorable little thing. Here Barbara used our new DK sock yarn & the patterns is from a sublime book.
